Or as Joel would say beakfrast. This is my last recipe for the bread dough, cinnamon rolls. YUM!!!
Use the same recipe for bread dough and use 1 loaf worth of dough (after you have let rise once.)
1/4 cup butter (soft)
1 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
1.Take the dough and roll it out on a floured surface or pastry cloth, into a rectangular shape(approx.16 x 21”).
2.Spread the butter on top of dough.
3.Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly on dough.
4.Roll up dough and cut into 12 rolls.
5.Place in greased 9×13 pan.
6.Let rise in warm(150°) oven for 30 minutes covered by dish towel.
7.Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes until light brown.
8.Put icing on while they are still warm.
Icing:
3 oz cream cheese (soft)
1/4 cup butter (soft)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
Sometimes I double this, because I LOVE this icing. I got part of this allrecipes.com – Clone of a Cinnabon.
You can also place these in the fridge overnight (before rising) and bake them in the morning.
Rating: as Lydia would say 3,574 thumbs up. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like cinnamon rolls, especially fresh from the oven, homemade.
Do you have any good breakfast recipes?
I definitely need some fresh ideas in this area.
