(Really not) Camping (Anymore)-Day 7

We slept well in our cabin and now we just had one more night away before we went home.  We packed up and went to Sioux Falls.

Tonight we knew we would sleep good.  My parents had bought us a night at a hotel for our last night as an anniversary present.  Thanks Mom and Dad!  Before we could check in we had a fun family day.

First we stopped at a park and had a little picnic with our leftover food and played for a little bit.

Next we went and had a snack at DQ.  Yum!

Then we went and saw “Despicable Me“.  It was a really good movie.  Every one of us enjoyed it.

Then it was time to check in and we saw our room.  It had real beds!  With down comforters!  And an abundance of pillows!

We didn’t stay in there for long.  We went to swim in the little waterpark area they had.  The kids had a lot of fun.  Lydia decided to finally put her head under water and she was very proud of herself.

Dinner time!  We decided to go out to dinner but were having a hard time figuring out what we wanted.  So I decided to look and see if they had a long, lost favorite of ours-Mr. Goodcents.  They did.  In case you don’t know Mr. Goodcents is the best sub shop ever!  Everything is sliced fresh and the bread is soft and the cookies are good…

While we devoured our sandwiches, Jonathan suggested maybe going to get Abby’s ears pierced.  She has wanted them pierced for a while but he told her she had to wait until she was mature enough to take care of the cleaning and earrings herself.  I told him I thought she was ready.  So our next stop was Claire’s.

We got to Claire’s and Abby was excited because she LOVES Claire’s.  Then we told her she could get her ears pierced and she was VERY excited.  I think she started getting a little nervous too.  She picked out her birthstone earrings and got one ear pierced and then the next.  She did great.  She did say the second one hurt a little bit, but it wore off quickly.  We let her pick out a couple pairs of earrings and then went back to the hotel.

We watched a little bit of our favorite show “Cake Boss” before going to sleep.  We slept well and headed home the next day.

We had a great vacation. I hope you have enjoyed reading my little blogs about it.
