In my life this week…

I got a new camera! (Thank you Jonathan!) It has a warranty if it happens to go in the pool again! I also got some swimming lessons scheduled for the kids to start in a couple weeks. This weekend we are going camping with some friends, should be a nice, short adventure.

In homeschool this week…

This was our first week off for Summer! We are loving it! No planning, no schooling! Just fun! The kids have been busy riding bikes, looking for bugs and of course cleaning their rooms(only as a direct order from Mom). I have been cleaning, catching up on laundry, and knitted a couple dishcloths.

“Blue Like Jazz” by Donald Miller   I am loving this book. He is very honest about his walk with Christ and what he’s learned.

I also just started reading Hosea in my Bible reading plan. This is the first time I have read it. Fascinating.

I’m cooking…

This week I made Seven Layer Bars and Brownies, both for potlucks. Jonathan made some chocolate chip cookie dough, which is in the freezer. We’ll see if it makes it to the oven this time.
