It’s the last day in February and time to see how I’ve done with my goals for the month.
Fix my girl’s hair 3 times a week. – Overall I have had fun with this goal, though I didn’t do so well keeping up with it this past week. The girls have been pretty patient while I experiment with their hair and they like seeing the different styles. I hope to keep this goal up, because I know they won’t always be my little girls and let their Mama play with their hair.(sniff)
Keeping up with my cleaning schedule. – Last week I didn’t do so well on this goal. My kid’s rooms got really clean but I didn’t have time to do mine. I think I may need to split the three bedrooms between two weeks, at least for now. I am very happy with what I accomplished this month. It’s so great to have most of the house tidied up. It takes a lot of work and persistence, but it has been worth it.
Losing 5 lbs. – This has been a great goal to have this month. It has helped to keep me accountable and kept me going in my weight loss this year. I wasn’t telling you what I lost each week, so today is the big reveal.
The first week I lost 1 lb., second week .5 lb., third week 1.5 lbs., and this week 2.5 lb. That makes a total of 5.5 lbs. I wasn’t sure I was going to make it, especially with one week being .5 lb. loss. I am happy with what I have accomplished. I would be even if I didn’t make the 5 lbs because I feel better, more toned, I have more energy, and am altogether healthier. That is what makes it worthwhile.
This goal has been such a good thing for me to put out there to my billions of readers (Hi Mom!), because I feel more accountable. I have to report to you how I’m doing and that is a big motivator for me. I’ve decided that I’m going to go all out and (deep breath)…keep posting about my weight loss/getting healthy journey every week. This is a huge step for me and I’m super nervous about putting it all out there. I’m also excited to see what happens. So, stay tuned to see how much I lose each week and also how and why I am changing this part of my life.
