Introducing My Son, Joel

This week the M.O.B. Society is featuring a Boy Mom BlogHop. I thought this would be a great opportunity to start introducing my family, which I have been wanting to do for a while.

If this is your first time at Average Housewife, welcome! Take a look around and you will find that I am an average housewife who has a cleaning schedule, but am not always clean. I am trying to live healthier.  I like to readhomeschool, and am being always changed by my great God. You can get my posts through email, or follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

My Son

This is my son, Joel. He is my one and only son, the youngest child of three, being 6 1/2 years old.

He will be my second grader this year. He doesn’t enjoy the workbook parts of school, but loves hands on learning.

His favorite foods are Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, Bananas, and Cereal. So I made a few of his favorites all in one wrap.

He loves to build with K’Nex,

and Erector Set.

He also likes using old cereal boxes and toilet paper rolls to make new creations.

His favorite games are UNO AttackSorry, and No Stress Chess.

Joel has an engineer’s mind and so one of his favorite books is The Way Things Work.

He often has a hard time making it through dinner because he’s to busy dreaming out loud, “When I grow up, I’m going to make…”

Joel still likes cuddling with Mama, which I adore. I know this little boy won’t last long. His daddy is his hero and they enjoy playing Minecraft together.

My prayer is that with God’s help, Joel will grow to become a strong man of God.

  1. Hey, so nice to “meet” you via the MOB BlogHop. Our boys are close in age! Sounds like they like a lot of the same things too! Such a fun, and interesting!, age, lol. Blessings!

  2. Hopping over from the Blog Hop! Nice to meet you! My boys love to build, also! K-nex….legos…marble sets…anything….scattered all over my house….all the time! But, man, they are creative! It’s worth it! (most of the time!)
