3 in 30 Goals: July 2012 Update

The month is just about over, so it’s time to look at how I did at  my three goals for the month.

  1. Greet my husband when he comes home from work. This went great. Welcoming my husband home is one of those little things that brightens up the day and our marriage. I’m going to try and find more of these little daily marriage moments to work on.
  2. Make fun summer activities for the kids. This did not go so well. We did do some fun things like make this chalk paint, but I didn’t get as many activities planned as I wanted too.  I’m just not very good at being a project, crafty mom. I should maybe try for a smaller goal of trying two new projects a month.
  3. Make portfolio’s for the 2011-2012 school year. I finished the portfolios! It feels good to have those finished. Now on to the next school year. ( I am still planning a post on portfolios. Stay tuned.)

How are you doing on your goals?

  1. I think the fact that you tried with the craft projects is great! When I used to do an art camp here at the farm the focus was always on the process and not the product. If the kids were having fun and enjoying the process of creating…that was what was truly important.

Even simply setting out paper, paints, brushes, and water and giving kids the opportunity to paint whatever they want is something they enjoy doing.
