You may have seen these cool marble motivation jars on Pinterest. I knew I had to make one the moment I saw it. These jars are a great visual aid to keep track of pounds you’ve lost and what you have left to lose.
I don’t have any pretty marbles or jars, so I just made do with what I had. One jar started with 42 marbles in it, which signified the amount of pounds I wanted to lose. Slowly but surely I have transferred marbles into my weight lost jar.
One day I made it to the point where I had more marbles in my lost jar, than in my pounds to lose jar.
Now I am to the point where I have 33 marbles in my lost jar and only 9 left in my weight to lose jar.
I have been stuck on these last 10 pounds for a while, so I thought it was time to change things. One of simple things I did was move these jars. I have had them hiding in my bedroom the whole time. I have now moved them to the kitchen counter.
I am hoping that seeing those last 9 marbles will be a reminder to me when I want to sneak something I shouldn’t or maybe to just remind me to make better choices.
What little changes do you make to keep yourself motivated with living healthier?
Weight last week: 152 lbs.
Weight this week: 151 lbs.
Total weight lost this year: 33 lbs.
I think that is a wonderful idea and moving it will probably be just you need

What a great idea, Paula! I love it. Marbles probably wouldn’t work for me, because my 3 yr. old wouldn’t be able to keep his hands out of the jar, but I love the idea of having that visual reminder.
You’re doing great! 🙂

Thanks! I actually stole my sons marbles for this, but he didn’t know they were missing for quite a while:)

I did not see this on pinterest. This is such a great idea. I will have to make a couple of jars up myself. Although I might have a problem with my son wanting to get a hold of them and playing with them. 😉

Yes, you may have to get some extra for him. My son didn’t notice the marbles I took because he has so many.
